The CLUB Crest

MULROY SOCCER ACADEMY

Following the establishment of Swilly Mulroy Underage Soccer Academy in February 2002, the club set up creating its own identity and in 2003 the committee decided to create a club logo.

After many different ideas and thought processes, it was decided to hold a competition through the local National Schools for the children to design a logo. Forms were issued to schools on 25th March 2003 with a €2 entry fee for all logo designs received.

The winning design was created by Cormac Friel and is the logo of Mulroy Academy to this day. Damian McGinley from Kerrykeel was the adjudicator for selection of the winning entry. The design was clever and astutely thought through by Cormac with the soccer ball and academy student design a perfect fit to identify Swilly Mulroy Underage Soccer Academy.  What is not as clear now is the initials on the scroll in the hand of the soccer student in the logo….SMUSA (Swilly Mulroy Underage Soccer Academy).
